Choice of TransferWise in Turkey, Birleşik Ödeme Hizmetleri

One of the largest Fintech ventures of Europe and accepted as “Unicorn” with 1.1 Billion USD valuation, London-based Transfer Wise has announced that it will use Turkish Lira currency in international money transfer transactions in last July.

Transferwise has chosen the Birleşik Ödeme Hizmetleri, making its name distinguished with its dominance in prepaid card projects and self-service kiosk field as Turkish partner in international money transfer transactions.

As is known, money transfer transactions accepted as payment service within the scope of the Law on Payment and Securities Settlement Systems, Payment Services and Electronic Fund Organization no. 6493 enacted on 27 June 2013 are performed by the electronic fund organizations or payment organizations licensed by Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK).  Money transfer transactions made from the other countries to Turkey via Transferwise has been launched as of October 2017 by the Birleşik Ödeme Hizmetleri within the borders of Turkey under our license of electronic fund and payment organization owned by the Birleşik Ödeme Hizmetleri.
